Depart Windhoek by light aircraft to Sossusvlei, the most unusual destination on earth. It is made up of a vast, dried up clay pan over which towers an expansive sea of magnificent sand dunes.

Day 2 (Wed): Sossusvlei (BLD)
An early start is imperative, as this is not only the coolest part of the day but the best time for photography. Our journey takes us to the famous Sossusvlei, a clay pan surrounded by some of the highest sand dunes in the world. Observe the fauna and flora that inhabits this region. Climbing one of the dunes affords the energetic traveller with an unforgettable experience of endless vistas across a sea of apricot-coloured sands.

Day 3 (Thu): Sossusvlei / Swakopmund (B)
Fly over the desert onto Swakopmund, Namibia's premier coastal resort. Spend the night in Swakopmund, a popular seaside resort with a slightly nostalgic atmosphere. A stroll around the town will enable you to discover the German architecture, the flower gardens and the beautiful beaches.

Day 4 (Fri): Swakopmund (B)
There are many optional activities (not included in package price ) to choose from today. From a seal and dolphin cruise departing from Walvis Bay, quad biking through the sand dunes, or enjoying fresh oysters and a glass of South African sparkling wine, perched on top of a dune overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

Day 5 (Sat): Swakopmund/Desert Express (BD)
The Desert Express departs from Swakopmund in the early afternoon and stops at the Stingbank siding. Here you will be able to enjoy the sights of the Khan Valley. Back on the train, enjoy a beautiful sunset and the ever-changing desert scenery from the comfort of your compartment or the Spitzkoppe Lounge. Dinner is served in the Welwitschia Restaurant.
