Just south of the Raa Atoll and North of the Male Atoll, lies the Baa Atoll, home to superb white sandy beaches, and palm trees. In the Baa Atoll, islands and surrounding clear waters offer water-sport lovers perfect scuba diving and surfing opportunities. Large numbers of whale sharks and mantas are main performers in the vast undersea. Although tuna fishing is the main occupation, the capital island of Baa Atoll, Eydhafushi, is well-known for Feyli weaving, a wraparound skirt for women. Thulhadhoo, the second most populous island is famous for lacquer and handicrafts industry.

From the moment you are met by a Six Senses representative at Male airport and whisked to their dedicated lounge, given lemongrass scented towels and watermelon juice, you know you are in for a treat!! The highlights are too many to mention.. (!) But for me, the bicycles everywhere, the no shoes no news policy, the fabulous food, the beach front villas, the incredibly privacy, peace and sense of space, great dive school Soleni and a live gig by "Red Hot Strings" at sunset at the Bar-a-Bara Bar; all made it a totally amazing holiday. It raises the bar of how a holiday should be!! GO!!!!
The villa was spacious, the outdoor bathroom was a wow and the generous supply of Organic lotions and potions made it a haven. The therpapists at The Spa are incredibly skilled, kind and wonderful. GO!!!!

Simply Paradise on Earth, the island is incredible, the food is exquisite, the villa is incredible, fully equipped like a modern one but built like a cabin on a island. You get a small swimming pool and an opening on a spectacular horizon and the sea.
The huge cinema screen at the end of the island showing movies, the Observatory from where you can see the face of the moon, Saturn etc, the Eco-Center (recycling and growing organic food)
This is the best place on Earth for a Honey Moon and to get away from all your regular life.
