Swahili Beach Resort has all the comforts and luxurious of a resort. This is due to the fact that they have the financial backing to ensure that everything is of the best authentic Zanzibar quality. They have used stunning authentic Zanzibarian furnishings and design to create one of the best places in the entire Zanzibar Resort. It is not a beach resort with hundreds of people. It is small enough to be intimate and big enough to allow for all the luxurious like a pool, room service (something not very common in Zanzibar) and many other luxuries.
Swahili Beach Resort is located in the renowned area of Kizimkazi. For those perhaps not too familiar with Zanzibar Island, this is where people come to swim with the dolphins. Whilst they often swim away when you dive in the water, you are pretty much guaranteed of seeing them regularly! Swahili Beach Resort is also located on the best beach in the area. The sea is the most tropical you will ever encounter!

We stayed there in December 2008, from the 23rd to the 30th for our Honeymoon. It was amazing. Swahili Beach Resort is a stunning place. I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay at in Zanzibar. We stayed in a Sands Room, right in front of the beach. It was lovely. The food is great and the service is excellent. Anna is a great hostess and Ted is a great host, and so are the likes of Suleiman, Yahya and Mubarak. The chef Rashid, prepares wonderful delicious food. And the tours that they arrange are amazing. Take a lovely walk into the village and long walks up the beach front. Don't miss this opportunity!

I stayed at Swahili over Christmas and it was fantastic. Anna and Ted are great hosts--very easy going and freindly, and the amenities are great value for money. The pool was great, the rooms spacious and clean, the food tasty and well prepared. I would totally stay here again. the only thing missing is a beach with dry sand...the tides are in and out so the sand is always wet, but the pool offered a great alternative.

We stayed at Swahili fro 16 -23 december. We had a super time, excellent value for money. Ted & Anna have made it very special. When you get there ask for a Zanzibari buffet - it includes exotic offerings such as green banana soup - unforgettable. Excellent day trips, and the dolphins reaally do swin in the sea in front of the resort. Also very good snorkelling at low tide.It is a small resort that gives an intimate feel. Prices were fair - never felt ripped off. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The location of the resort on the edge of the fishing village also give a good glimpse on local life.
