Come and stay in the house that the famous South African painter PIERNEEF lived in for two months in 1935. We have the PIERNEEF room available at R390.00 per night per couple and has a queen size bed extra length. Full DSTV is supplied.
Our second bedroom is the gallery room and is inside our art gallery. It has two single beds...Have you ever slept inside an art gallery? Breakfast is an extra R35.00 per person.
The house was built in 1926 and has served as the main house for many Bank Managers in the town.
We have an art gallery and antique shop inside the house. That makes it more interesting for you. Bathroom with shower and bath as well as seperate toilet just outside your room.
Breakfast is served inside the antique shop or in summer in the tea garden.
We have a small intimate bistro inside the house where we will sing to you as we make your dinner, or you can sing for us!!!
Smithfield is 130 km's from Bloemfontein on the road to East London.
