The hotel was marvelous, very relaxing and it greatly emphasized on the nature aspect of the maldives by offering several ocean excursions and by the fact that it did not have a pool which meant that people had to use the ocean to swim.

We have been to the Maldives three times now and this was the best island yet. Not only the location but the service,entertainment, food and overall running of the island was all of a very high standard.
The island is due for an upgrade with additional water bungalows being added, I hope this does not spoil the friendly running of the island which we found very appealling. One of the 1001 islands to go to before you die.

This is my 5th time to the maldives - and make no mistake Thudufushi is hard to get on! it took me 2 years to obtain availabitlty for my leave on this island! It is well known that this is a serious revisit island, and many of the customers block book years in advance.
There are 2 distinct sides to the island, and the only real gripe, as one side has superb deep sandy beach whilst the other suffers form errosion. The lower number rooms are the ones to be in. There really is very little to fault with this island, everything was pretty much perfect. I was particulalry impressed by the diving schools understanding that people actually like to have a few drinks in the evening so diving excursions leave in morning far later than any other island I've visited - brilliant planning and allows one to enjoy the lively nightlife! Staff also join guests in the evenings, which is also great and allows the multiple different nationalities to mix which I personally think is great.
Predominatly italian, english is the 2nd tongue, but is never an issue, and the italians love to mix it up with sports and drink! The house reef and snorkeling are outstanding, simply the best I've yet seen. So good infact that there really is very little more to see diving wise other than the bigger stuff, the sea life is simply amazing around this island, with regular turtle, dolphin and huge parrot fish shoals a daily occurance.
